Wilderness

howling growling

grow me a tail  sacrum

from the stub of the spine

lithe lengthening vertebrae into space

behind  beyond

a flick of the tip

pelvic mouth swings between curves

animal and instinct  re creatURing

being beastly be–Ur Urbeing Ur UR

breath slides along vertebral curves

a mouth in both directions

breathing through teeth   reveal

a deep subconscious  inhale

even as the body sleeps  tail speaks

with serpentine gesture  suggesting

'the song buried in matter since the beginning of the universe'.*
